I made a hitch for my Savage back in 99'. I took it, my wife and a trailer on a trip through Yellowstone Natl. Park in Wyoming (I live in SW Wyoming). The bike did great. Trip was about 500 miles in 4 days, and trailer/stuff was 400lbs. I posted that story a long time ago on this site.
I now have a 2003 Vulcan Classic 1500 and while I kept my 87' Savage, no longer need the hitch.
Anyone interested???? I can email pictures if your curious. (will have to take them 1st)
